Our client is one of Australia’s leading digital agencies. They have approximately 80 staff and have offices in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

This newly created role is focused towards providing excellence in IT operations. The company has a strong application development capability and a relatively high standard of technology literacy throughout the organisation.

The successful applicant will have exceptional technical, organisational and communication skills and be accustomed to managing hosting providers and other vendors. They must be a self starter and learner, a problem solver with a can-do attitude and passion for smooth operations.

It is anticipated that you will have at least 4 years experience in managing web infrastructure, including:

# setup, configuration, hardening and patching Windows Server 2003, Redhat Linux (preferred) operating systems
# setup, configuration, hardening and patching IIS, Tomcat, Apache web servers
# setup, configuration, hardening and patching SQL Server and MySQL databases
# setup, deployment, configuration management and upgrades of website CMS, web tools and web applications
# performance optimisation, tuning and load balancing web servers, websites, Web CMS and web applications
# setup, implementation, management and testing of backup and disaster recovery processes and plans for all environments
# experience with clustered and virtual machine (VM) environments

As a technology all-rounder, you will have a sound knowledge throughout the entire stack and network administration and application development skills would be advantageous. You will also be managing a team member who is responsible for the maintenance of the company’s internal network.
